pondering a new law of nature

I've just returned from my daughter's swimming lesson, and am marvelling how on holiday she was able to take in instructions at the swimming gala and follow them so well that she won....yet when her swimming teacher tells her something, she pays no attention so ends up not knowing what she's meant to be doing!

Perhaps there is some law about children's attention levels being inversely proportional to the amount spent on the lesson...

So what does this do, then...?!

Ok confession time...I've never had a blog of my own before. Have a website...never update it! Oops! However, I shall endeavour to post odd (probably very odd) thoughts on here from time to time.
